Omanyte 57/110 · Legendary Collection

Legendary Collection is a set in the Other series. It was released on 24 May 2002. The printed size is 110, and the checklist is the same length. Omanyte is 57/110, in position 57 of 110 on this checklist. Before it is 56 Nidorino, and after it is 58 Omastar. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Omanyte is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 40 HP. The card lists level 19. In the Pokédex this is Omanyte (#138), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Mysterious Fossil. The card lists Omastar, Omastar (#139) under evolves to.

Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this card. The same name is on 656 other cards in the catalog.

Omanyte (#138) has 14 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2023. The earliest other card is Omanyte 52/62 in Fossil (1999). Both list 40 HP. The rarity there is Common, and here it is Uncommon. 12 other cards of Omanyte list a different HP.

Clairvoyance is listed as Pokémon Power. Your opponent plays with his or her hand face up. This power stops working while Omanyte is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Water Gun lists 10+ damage. The cost is Water. Does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each Water Energy attached to Omanyte but not used to pay for this attack's Energy cost. You can't add more than 20 damage in this way. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Although long extinct, in rare cases, it can be genetically resurrected from fossils."

I keep a set binder for Legendary Collection, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Legendary Collection set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Omanyte can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
