Jirachi-EX 60/101 · Plasma Blast

Jirachi is Pokédex #385, generation 3 (Hoenn). Jirachi-EX is a Basic EX Metal Pokémon with 90 HP.

Jirachi-EX sits at 60/101 in Plasma Blast, position 60 of 105. Before it is 59 Aggron, and after it is 61 Escavalier. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on 14 August 2013. The printed size is 101. This checklist is longer, at 105 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

Stellar Guidance is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand onto your Bench, you may search your deck for a Supporter card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. The attack Hypnostrike lists 60 damage. The cost is Metal, Colorless, Colorless. Both this Pokémon and the Defending Pokémon are now Asleep. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Jirachi (#385) has 29 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Jirachi 21/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card is named Jirachi, while this one is Jirachi-EX. That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Ryo Ueda illustrated this one. 26 other cards of Jirachi list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Ryo Ueda. I count 462 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Plasma Blast set binder is where a full Plasma Blast set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Jirachi can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
