Simisage 7/99 · Next Destinies

Simisage is Pokédex #512, generation 5 (Unova). Simisage is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Pansage. In this catalog that name is Pansage (#511).

Simisage sits at 7/99 in Next Destinies, position 7 of 103. Before it is 6 Pansage, and after it is 8 Foongus. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on 8 February 2012. The printed size is 99. This checklist is longer, at 103 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Collect lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Draw 3 cards. Stadium Drain is another attack lists 30+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. If there is any Stadium card in play, this attack does 30 more damage and heal 30 damage from this Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Water -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Ill tempered, it fights by swinging its barbed tail around wildly. The leaf growing on its head is very bitter."

Simisage (#512) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Simisage 8/114 in Black & White (2011). Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Masakazu Fukuda illustrated that card, and kawayoo illustrated this one. 5 other cards of Simisage list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads kawayoo. I count 209 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Next Destinies set binder is where a full Next Destinies set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Simisage can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
