Shaymin 10/149 · Boundaries Crossed

Boundaries Crossed is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on 7 November 2012. The printed size is 149. This checklist is longer, at 153 cards. Shaymin is 10/149, in position 10 of 153 on this checklist. Before it is 9 Celebi-EX, and after it is 11 Snivy. The listed rarity is Rare.

Shaymin is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Shaymin (#492), generation 4 (Sinnoh).

Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this card. The same name is on 656 other cards in the catalog.

Shaymin (#492) has 34 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Shaymin LV.X DP39/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Shaymin LV.X, while this one is Shaymin. That card lists 110 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 20 other cards of Shaymin list a different HP.

The attack Call for Family lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Search your deck for 2 Basic Pokémon and put them onto your Bench. Shuffle your deck afterward. Leaf Drain is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Grass, Grass. Flip a coin. If heads, heal 30 damage from this Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "The flowers all over its body burst into bloom if it is lovingly hugged and senses gratitude."

I keep a set binder for Boundaries Crossed, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Boundaries Crossed set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Shaymin can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
