White Kyurem-EX 103/149 · Boundaries Crossed

Kyurem is Pokédex #646, generation 5 (Unova). White Kyurem-EX is a Basic EX Dragon Pokémon with 180 HP.

White Kyurem-EX sits at 103/149 in Boundaries Crossed, position 103 of 153. Before it is 102 White Kyurem, and after it is 104 Rattata. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on 7 November 2012. The printed size is 149. This checklist is longer, at 153 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

The attack Dragon Stream lists 60 damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, attach a basic Energy card from your discard pile to this Pokémon. Ice Burn is another attack lists 150 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Water, Colorless. Discard 2 Fire Energy attached to this Pokémon. The Defending Pokémon is now Burned. Weakness is Dragon ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Kyurem (#646) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Kyurem-EX BW37/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). That card is named Kyurem-EX, while this one is White Kyurem-EX. Both list 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Eske Yoshinob illustrated this one. 33 other cards of Kyurem list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Eske Yoshinob. I count 177 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Boundaries Crossed set binder is where a full Boundaries Crossed set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kyurem can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
