Electrode 33/116 · Plasma Freeze

Electrode is Pokédex #101, generation 1 (Kanto). Electrode is a Stage 1 Lightning Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Voltorb. In this catalog that name is Voltorb (#100).

Electrode sits at 33/116 in Plasma Freeze, position 33 of 122. Before it is 32 Voltorb, and after it is 34 Jolteon. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on 8 May 2013. The printed size is 116. This checklist is longer, at 122 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Magnetic Draw is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may draw cards until you have 4 cards in your hand. The attack Electro Ball lists 60 damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It is known to drift on winds if it is bloated to bursting with stored electricity."

Electrode (#101) has 45 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 39 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Electrode 21/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Rare Holo. Keiji Kinebuchi illustrated that card, and HiRON illustrated this one. 27 other cards of Electrode list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads HiRON. I count 12 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Plasma Freeze set binder is where a full Plasma Freeze set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Electrode can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
