Zamazenta V 18/25 · Celebrations

Zamazenta is Pokédex #889, generation 8 (Galar). Zamazenta V is a Basic V Fighting Pokémon with 220 HP.

Zamazenta V sits at 18/25 in Celebrations, position 18 of 25. Before it is 17 Groudon, and after it is 19 Yveltal. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 8 October 2021. The printed size is 25, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare Holo V.

Growl of the Shield is listed as Ability. All of your Fighting Pokémon take 20 less damage from attacks from your opponent's Pokémon VMAX (after applying Weakness and Resistance). You can't apply more than 1 Growl of the Shield Ability at a time. The attack Heavy Impact lists 150 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is E.

Zamazenta (#889) has 19 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2019 to 2026. The earliest other card is Zamazenta V SWSH019/307 in SWSH Black Star Promos (2019). That card lists 230 HP, and this one lists 220 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo V. aky CG Works illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is E. 15 other cards of Zamazenta list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Mitsuhiro Arita. I count 721 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Celebrations set binder is where a full Celebrations set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Zamazenta can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
