Ditto 17/18 · Detective Pikachu

Ditto is Pokédex #132, generation 1 (Kanto). Ditto is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 60 HP.

Ditto sits at 17/18 in Detective Pikachu, position 17 of 18. Before it is 16 Lickitung, and after it is 18 Slaking. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 5 April 2019. The printed size is 18, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

The attack Copy Anything lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon's attacks and use it as this attack. If this Pokémon doesn't have the necessary Energy to use that attack, this attack does nothing. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "While it can transform into anything, each Ditto apparently has its own strengths and weaknesses when it comes to transformations."

Ditto (#132) has 31 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Ditto 3/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Ultra. Keiji Kinebuchi illustrated that card, and MPC Film illustrated this one. 16 other cards of Ditto list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads MPC Film. I count 14 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Detective Pikachu set binder is where a full Detective Pikachu set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ditto can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
