Chimecho 22/123 · Mysterious Treasures

Chimecho is Pokédex #358, generation 3 (Hoenn). Chimecho is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 70 HP. The card lists level 21.

Chimecho sits at 22/123 in Mysterious Treasures, position 22 of 124. Before it is 21 Bastiodon, and after it is 23 Crobat. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on 1 August 2007. The printed size is 123. This checklist is longer, at 124 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Call In lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Draw a card. If Chingling is anywhere under Chimecho, draw 2 more cards. Strange Bell is another attack lists 20 damage. The cost is Psychic. If the Defending Pokémon is a Basic Pokémon, that Pokémon is now Confused. Weakness is Psychic +20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "To knock foes flying, it makes the air shudder with its cries. It converses using seven cries."

Chimecho (#358) has 14 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Chimecho 24/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). Both list 70 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Daisuke Ito illustrated this one. 3 other cards of Chimecho list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Daisuke Ito. I count 47 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Mysterious Treasures set binder is where a full Mysterious Treasures set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Chimecho can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
