Happiny 52/123 · Mysterious Treasures

Mysterious Treasures is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on 1 August 2007. The printed size is 123. This checklist is longer, at 124 cards. Happiny is 52/123, in position 52 of 124 on this checklist. Before it is 51 Graveler, and after it is 53 Lairon. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Happiny is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists level 8. In the Pokédex this is Happiny (#440), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card lists Chansey, Chansey (#113) under evolves to.

Yuka Morii illustrated this card. The same name is on 204 other cards in the catalog.

Happiny (#440) has 3 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 3 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2008 to 2019. The earliest other card is Happiny 14/17 in POP Series 8 (2008). Both list 60 HP. The rarity there is Common, and here it is Uncommon.

Baby Evolution is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may put Chansey from your hand onto Happiny (this counts as evolving Happiny) and remove all damage counters from Happiny. The attack Lively lists no damage number. Remove 2 damage counters from 1 of your Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting +10. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It loves round white things. It carries and egg-shaped rock in imitation of CHANSEY."

I keep a set binder for Mysterious Treasures, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Mysterious Treasures set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Happiny can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Yuka Morii clay cards and Baby Pokémon. I still need this card.
