Mothim 33/132 · Secret Wonders

Secret Wonders is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on 1 November 2007. The printed size is 132, and the checklist is the same length. Mothim is 33/132, in position 33 of 132 on this checklist. Before it is 32 Minun, and after it is 34 Nidoking. The listed rarity is Rare.

Mothim is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 39. In the Pokédex this is Mothim (#414), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Burmy. In this catalog that name is Burmy (#412).

Kazuyuki Kano illustrated this card. The same name is on 26 other cards in the catalog.

Mothim (#414) has 5 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 5 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2008 to 2022. The earliest other card is Mothim 5/17 in POP Series 7 (2008). Both list 80 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. 3 other cards of Mothim list a different HP.

The attack Silver Wind lists no damage number. During your next turn, if an attack does damage to the Defending Pokémon (after applying Weakness and Resistance), that attack does 40 more damage. Raging Scales is another attack lists 30+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. If Mothim has any damage counters on it, this attack does 30 damage plus 40 more damage. Weakness is Fire +20. Resistance is Fighting -20. The flavor text reads "It loves the honey of flowers and steals honey collected by COMBEE."

I keep a set binder for Secret Wonders, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Secret Wonders set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mothim can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
