Unown [R] 77/146 · Legends Awakened

Unown is Pokédex #201, generation 2 (Johto). Unown [R] is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists level 16.

Unown [R] sits at 77/146 in Legends Awakened, position 77 of 146. Before it is 76 Unown [J], and after it is 78 Unown [U]. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on 1 August 2008. The printed size is 146, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

RETIRE is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn, if Unown R is on your Bench, you may discard Unown R and all cards attached to it. (This doesn't count as a Knocked Out Pokémon.) Then, draw a card. The attack Hidden Power lists no damage number. Move any number of basic Energy cards attached to your Pokémon to your other Pokémon in any way you like. Weakness is Psychic +10. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Shaped like an ancient writing, it is a huge mystery whether language or Unown came first."

Unown (#201) has 95 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Unown [J] 38/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Unown [J], while this one is Unown [R]. That card lists 40 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. Hideki Kazama illustrated that card, and Kent Kanetsuna illustrated this one. 60 other cards of Unown list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kent Kanetsuna. I count 74 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Legends Awakened set binder is where a full Legends Awakened set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Unown can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Unown. I still need this card.
