Buizel DP13/56 · DP Black Star Promos

Buizel is Pokédex #418, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Buizel is a Basic Water Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists level 10. The card lists Floatzel, Floatzel (#419) under evolves to.

Buizel sits at DP13/56 in DP Black Star Promos, position 13 of 56. Before it is DP12 Lucario LV.X, and after it is DP14 Chatot. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on 1 May 2007. The printed size is 56, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Splash About lists 10+ damage. The cost is Water. If Buizel has less Energy attached to it than the Defending Pokémon, this attack does 10 damage plus 10 more damage. Weakness is Lightning +10. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It has a flotation sac that is like an inflatable collar. It floats on water with its head out."

Buizel (#418) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Buizel 72/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). Both list 60 HP. The rarity there is Common, and here it is Promo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. 7 other cards of Buizel list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Mitsuhiro Arita. I count 721 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

DP Black Star Promos set binder is where a full DP Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Buizel can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
