Delta Species is a set in the EX series. It was released on 31 October 2005. The printed size is 113. This checklist is longer, at 114 cards. Metagross δ is 11/113, in position 11 of 114 on this checklist. Before it is 10 Marowak δ, and after it is 12 Mewtwo δ. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.
Metagross δ is a Stage 2 Lightning Metal Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Metagross (#376), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Metang. In this catalog that name is Metang (#375).
Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this card. The same name is on 471 other cards in the catalog.
Metagross (#376) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2004 to 2026. The earliest other card is Metagross 11/101 in Hidden Legends (2004). That card is named Metagross, while this one is Metagross δ. Both list 100 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 30 other cards of Metagross list a different HP.
Delta Control is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may look at the top 4 cards of your deck, choose 1 of them, and put it into your hand. Put the 3 other cards on the bottom of your deck in any order. This power can't be used if Metagross is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Crush and Burn lists 30+ damage. The cost is Lightning, Metal. You may discard as many Energy cards as you like attached to your Pokémon in play. If you do, this attack does 30 damage plus 20 more damage for each Energy card you discarded. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Grass -30. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: This Pokémon is both Lightning Metal type.
I keep a set binder for Delta Species, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Delta Species set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Metagross can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Delta Species cards. I still need this card.
