Rayquaza δ 13/113 · Delta Species

Delta Species is a set in the EX series. It was released on 31 October 2005. The printed size is 113. This checklist is longer, at 114 cards. Rayquaza δ is 13/113, in position 13 of 114 on this checklist. Before it is 12 Mewtwo δ, and after it is 14 Salamence δ. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Rayquaza δ is a Basic Lightning Metal Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Rayquaza (#384), generation 3 (Hoenn).

Ryo Ueda illustrated this card. The same name is on 462 other cards in the catalog.

Rayquaza (#384) has 59 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 30 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Rayquaza ex 39/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card is named Rayquaza ex, while this one is Rayquaza δ. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 3. 58 other cards of Rayquaza list a different HP.

Delta Guard is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Rayquaza has any Holon Energy cards attached to it, ignore the effect of Rayquaza's Lightning Storm attack. The attack Power Blow lists 10× damage. The cost is Lightning. Does 10 damage times the amount of Energy attached to Rayquaza. Lightning Storm is another attack lists 70 damage. The cost is Lightning, Metal, Colorless, Colorless. Put 7 damage counters on Rayquaza. Weakness is Colorless ×2. Resistance is Water -30 and Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: This Pokémon is both Lightning Metal type.

I keep a set binder for Delta Species, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Delta Species set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Rayquaza can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Delta Species cards, Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza, and All Rayquaza cards. I still need this card.
