Quagsire δ 21/101 · Dragon Frontiers

Quagsire is Pokédex #195, generation 2 (Johto). Quagsire δ is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 80 HP. The card says it evolves from Wooper. In this catalog that name is Wooper (#194).

Quagsire δ sits at 21/101 in Dragon Frontiers, position 21 of 101. Before it is 20 Mantine δ, and after it is 22 Seadra δ. The set belongs to the EX series. It was released on 1 November 2006. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare.

Dig Up is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn, when you play Quagsire from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon, you may search your discard pile for up to 2 Pokémon Tool cards, show them to your opponent, and put them into your hand. The attack Pump Out lists 50+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. If Quagsire has a Pokémon Tool card attached to it, this attack does 50 damage plus 20 more damage. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

Quagsire (#195) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2023. The earliest other card is Quagsire 45/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card is named Quagsire, while this one is Quagsire δ. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Sachiko Adachi illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 12 other cards of Quagsire list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Sachiko Adachi. I count 41 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dragon Frontiers set binder is where a full Dragon Frontiers set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Quagsire can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Delta Species cards. I still need this card.
