Team Magma vs Team Aqua is a set in the EX series. It was released on 1 March 2004. The printed size is 95. This checklist is longer, at 97 cards. Team Magma's Mightyena is 37/95, in position 37 of 97 on this checklist. Before it is 36 Team Magma's Lairon, and after it is 38 Team Magma's Rhyhorn. The listed rarity is Uncommon.
Team Magma's Mightyena is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Mightyena (#262), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Team Magma's Poochyena. In this catalog that name is Poochyena (#261).
Shin-ichi Yoshikawa illustrated this card. The same name is on 50 other cards in the catalog.
Mightyena (#262) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mightyena 10/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card is named Mightyena, while this one is Team Magma's Mightyena. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Shin-ichi Yoshikawa illustrated this one. 22 other cards of Mightyena list a different HP.
Call for Help is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), if Team Magma's Mightyena is your Active Pokémon, you may search your deck for a Pokémon with Team Magma in its name, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. This power can't be used if Team Magma's Mightyena is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Lunge lists 50 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless. Flip a coin. If tails, this attack does nothing. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -30. Retreat cost is 1.
I keep a set binder for Team Magma vs Team Aqua, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Team Magma vs Team Aqua set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mightyena can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer's Pokémon and Team Aqua and Team Magma. I still need this card.
