Lairon 37/102 · HS—Triumphant

HS—Triumphant is a set in the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on 3 November 2010. The printed size is 102. This checklist is longer, at 103 cards. Lairon is 37/102, in position 37 of 103 on this checklist. Before it is 36 Kangaskhan, and after it is 38 Lickilicky. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Lairon is a Stage 1 Metal Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lairon (#305), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Aron. In this catalog that name is Aron (#304). The card lists Aggron, Aggron (#306) under evolves to.

Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this card. The same name is on 656 other cards in the catalog.

Lairon (#305) has 22 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Lairon 36/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 16 other cards of Lairon list a different HP.

The attack Take Down lists 80 damage. The cost is Metal, Metal, Colorless. Lairon does 20 damage to itself. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "It loves iron ore. Groups of them fight for territory by bashing one another with their steel bodies."

I keep a set binder for HS—Triumphant, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the HS—Triumphant set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lairon can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
