Latias HGSS10/25 · HGSS Black Star Promos

HGSS Black Star Promos is a set in the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on 10 February 2010. The printed size is 25, and the checklist is the same length. Latias is HGSS10/25, in position 10 of 25 on this checklist. Before it is HGSS09 Typhlosion, and after it is HGSS11 Latios. The listed rarity is Promo.

Latias is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Latias (#380), generation 3 (Hoenn).

Wataru Kawahara illustrated this card. The same name is on 35 other cards in the catalog.

Latias (#380) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Latias 14/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Wataru Kawahara illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 30 other cards of Latias list a different HP.

The attack Energy Assist lists 10 damage. The cost is Colorless. Search your discard pile for a basic Energy card and attach it to 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Infinite Wind is another attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. If Latios is on your Bench, remove 2 damage counters from each of your Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Colorless ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It communicates using telepathy. Its body is covered in down that refracts light to make it invisible."

I keep a set binder for HGSS Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the HGSS Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Latias can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Latias and Latios. I still need this card.
