Banette 234/217 · Ascended Heroes

Banette is Pokédex #354, generation 3 (Hoenn). Banette is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Shuppet. In this catalog that name is Shuppet (#353).

Banette sits at 234/217 in Ascended Heroes, position 234 of 295. Before it is 233 Misdreavus, and after it is 235 Togekiss. The set belongs to the Mega Evolution series. It was released on 30 January 2026. The printed size is 217. This checklist is longer, at 295 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 217. The listed rarity is Illustration Rare.

The attack Cursed Words lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. Your opponent chooses 3 cards from their hand and shuffles those cards into their deck. Spooky Shot is another attack lists 70 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon developed from an abandoned doll that amassed a grudge. It is seen in dark alleys." The regulation mark is I.

Banette (#354) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2004 to 2026. The earliest other card is Banette 1/101 in Hidden Legends (2004). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Illustration Rare. Midori Harada illustrated that card, and YASHIRO Nanaco illustrated this one. 16 other cards of Banette list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads YASHIRO Nanaco. I count 3 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Ascended Heroes set binder is where a full Ascended Heroes set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Banette can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
