Igglybuff 40/75 · Neo Discovery

Igglybuff is Pokédex #174, generation 2 (Johto). Igglybuff is a Baby Colorless Pokémon with 30 HP. The card lists level 6. The card lists Jigglypuff, Jigglypuff (#039) under evolves to.

Igglybuff sits at 40/75 in Neo Discovery, position 40 of 75. Before it is 39 Houndour, and after it is 41 Kakuna. The set belongs to the Neo series. It was released on 1 June 2001. The printed size is 75, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Gaze is listed as Pokémon Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), choose 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon that has a Pokémon Power. That power stops working until the end of this turn. This effect ends if that Pokémon leaves the Bench. The card text says: If this Baby Pokémon is your Active Pokémon and your opponent announces an attack, your opponent flips a coin (before doing anything else). If tails, your opponent's turn ends. The flavor text reads "It has a very soft body. If it starts to roll, it will bounce all over and be impossible to stop."

Igglybuff (#174) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 8 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Igglybuff 36/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). Both list 30 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Miki Tanaka illustrated this one. 6 other cards of Igglybuff list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Miki Tanaka. I count 192 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Neo Discovery set binder is where a full Neo Discovery set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Igglybuff can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Baby Pokémon. I still need this card.
