Unown [Y] 40/64 · Neo Revelation

Neo Revelation is a set in the Neo series. It was released on 21 September 2001. The printed size is 64. This checklist is longer, at 66 cards. Unown [Y] is 40/64, in position 40 of 66 on this checklist. Before it is 39 Unown [B], and after it is 41 Aipom. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Unown [Y] is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 40 HP. The card lists level 12. In the Pokédex this is Unown (#201), generation 2 (Johto).

CR CG gangs illustrated this card. The same name is on 26 other cards in the catalog.

Unown (#201) has 95 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Unown [J] 38/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Unown [J], while this one is Unown [Y]. Both list 40 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. Hideki Kazama illustrated that card, and CR CG gangs illustrated this one. 74 other cards of Unown list a different HP.

[Yield] is listed as Pokémon Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may flip a coin. If heads, search your deck for a Psychic Energy card and attach it to 1 of your Pokémon with Unown in its name. Shuffle your deck afterward. This power can be used even if Unown [Y] is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed. The attack Hidden Power lists 10 damage. The cost is Psychic. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: You may have up to 4 Basic Pokémon cards in your deck with Unown in their names. The flavor text reads "Their shapes look like hieroglyphs on ancient tablets. It is said that the two are somehow related."

I keep a set binder for Neo Revelation, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Neo Revelation set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Unown can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Unown. I still need this card.
