Bronzong E4 16/111 · Rising Rivals

Rising Rivals is a set in the Platinum series. It was released on 16 May 2009. The printed size is 111. This checklist is longer, at 120 cards. Bronzong E4 is 16/111, in position 16 of 120 on this checklist. Before it is 15 Beedrill, and after it is 17 Drapion E4. The listed rarity is Rare.

Bronzong E4 is a Basic SP Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. The card lists level 54. In the Pokédex this is Bronzong (#437), generation 4 (Sinnoh).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Bronzong (#437) has 28 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 26 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Bronzong 6/123 in Mysterious Treasures (2007). That card is named Bronzong, while this one is Bronzong E4. Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Daisuke Ito illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. 19 other cards of Bronzong list a different HP.

The attack Hand Refresh lists no damage number. Each player shuffles his or her hand into his or her deck and draws up to 4 cards. (You draw your cards first.) Payback is another attack lists 10+ damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. If your opponent has only 1 Prize card left, this attack does 10 damage plus 50 more damage and the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Resistance is Fire -20. Retreat cost is 3.

I keep a set binder for Rising Rivals, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Rising Rivals set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Bronzong can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
