Aerodactyl-GX 106/236 · Unified Minds

Unified Minds is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 2 August 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 261 cards. Aerodactyl-GX is 106/236, in position 107 of 261 on this checklist. Before it is 105 Cubone, and after it is 107 Heracross. The listed rarity is Rare Holo GX.

Aerodactyl-GX is a Stage 1 GX Fighting Pokémon with 210 HP. In the Pokédex this is Aerodactyl (#142), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Unidentified Fossil.

PLANETA Igarashi illustrated this card. The same name is on 41 other cards in the catalog.

Aerodactyl (#142) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2023. The earliest other card is Aerodactyl 1/62 in Fossil (1999). That card is named Aerodactyl, while this one is Aerodactyl-GX. That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 210 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo GX. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and PLANETA Igarashi illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Aerodactyl list a different HP.

Primal Winds is listed as Ability. As long as this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon, your opponent's Basic Pokémon's attacks cost Colorless more. The attack Boulder Crush lists 120 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. Wild Dive-GX is another attack lists 50× damage. The cost is Fighting. This attack does 50 damage times the amount of Energy attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Grass ×2. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for Unified Minds, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Unified Minds set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Aerodactyl can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Fossil Pokémon. I still need this card.
