Floatzel 23/73 · Shining Legends

Shining Legends is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 6 October 2017. The printed size is 73. This checklist is longer, at 81 cards. Floatzel is 23/73, in position 24 of 81 on this checklist. Before it is 22 Buizel, and after it is 24 Palkia. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Floatzel is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Floatzel (#419), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Buizel. In this catalog that name is Buizel (#418).

Suwama Chiaki illustrated this card. The same name is on 102 other cards in the catalog.

Floatzel (#419) has 14 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Floatzel 26/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Uncommon. Masahiko Ishii illustrated that card, and Suwama Chiaki illustrated this one. 12 other cards of Floatzel list a different HP.

The attack Razor Fin lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless. Aqua Bomb is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. This Pokémon does 30 damage to itself. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It floats using its well-developed flotation sac. It assists in the rescues of drowning people."

I keep a set binder for Shining Legends, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Shining Legends set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Floatzel can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
