Spiritomb 47/73 · Shining Legends

Shining Legends is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 6 October 2017. The printed size is 73. This checklist is longer, at 81 cards. Spiritomb is 47/73, in position 48 of 81 on this checklist. Before it is 46 Stunfisk, and after it is 48 Purrloin. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Spiritomb is a Basic Darkness Pokémon with 60 HP. In the Pokédex this is Spiritomb (#442), generation 4 (Sinnoh).

Kouki Saitou illustrated this card. The same name is on 652 other cards in the catalog.

Spiritomb (#442) has 24 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2008 to 2026. The earliest other card is Spiritomb 16/146 in Legends Awakened (2008). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Ryo Ueda illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Spiritomb list a different HP.

Cursed Whirlpool is listed as Ability. As long as this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon, your opponent's Active Pokémon can't retreat. The attack Cursed Drop lists no damage number. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Put 3 damage counters on your opponent's Pokémon in any way you like. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "A Pokémon that was formed by 108 spirits. It is bound to a fissure in an odd keystone."

I keep a set binder for Shining Legends, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Shining Legends set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Spiritomb can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
