Swalot 58/168 · Celestial Storm

Swalot is Pokédex #317, generation 3 (Hoenn). Swalot is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 120 HP. The card says it evolves from Gulpin. In this catalog that name is Gulpin (#316).

Swalot sits at 58/168 in Celestial Storm, position 59 of 187. Before it is 57 Gulpin, and after it is 59 Spoink. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 3 August 2018. The printed size is 168. This checklist is longer, at 187 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Amnesia lists 30 damage. The cost is Colorless. Choose 1 of your opponent's Active Pokémon's attacks. That Pokémon can't use that attack during your opponent's next turn. Swallow Up is another attack lists 40+ damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. If, before doing damage, your opponent's Active Pokémon has less remaining HP than this Pokémon, this attack does 80 more damage. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It gulps anything that fits in its mouth. Its special enzymes can dissolve anything."

Swalot (#317) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 7 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2004 to 2024. The earliest other card is Swalot 50/101 in Hidden Legends (2004). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. 7 other cards of Swalot list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Yuka Morii. I count 204 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Celestial Storm set binder is where a full Celestial Storm set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Swalot can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Yuka Morii clay cards. I still need this card.
