Salamence-GX 44/70 · Dragon Majesty

Salamence is Pokédex #373, generation 3 (Hoenn). Salamence-GX is a Stage 2 GX Dragon Pokémon with 250 HP. The card says it evolves from Shelgon. In this catalog that name is Shelgon (#372).

Salamence-GX sits at 44/70 in Dragon Majesty, position 45 of 80. Before it is 43 Shelgon, and after it is 45 Druddigon. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 7 September 2018. The printed size is 70. This checklist is longer, at 80 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo GX.

Dragon Lift is listed as Ability. Your Pokémon in play have no Retreat Cost, except Pokémon-GX and Pokémon-EX. The attack Bright Flame lists 200 damage. The cost is Fire, Water, Colorless, Colorless. Discard 2 Energy from this Pokémon. Flame Jet-GX is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Fire, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 120 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Fairy ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Salamence (#373) has 30 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Salamence 10/97 in Dragon (2003). That card is named Salamence, while this one is Salamence-GX. That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 250 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo GX. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 28 other cards of Salamence list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dragon Majesty set binder is where a full Dragon Majesty set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Salamence can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
