It was released on 3 February 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

Solgaleo (#791) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Solgaleo-GX 89/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). Both list 250 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo GX, and here it is Promo. PLANETA illustrated that card, and PLANETA Igarashi illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 9 other cards of Solgaleo list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads PLANETA Igarashi. I count 41 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Solgaleo can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). I still need this card.
