SM Black Star Promos is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 3 February 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. Flareon-GX is a Stage 1 GX Fire Pokémon with 210 HP. In the Pokédex this is Flareon (#136), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

PLANETA Otani illustrated this card. The same name is on 14 other cards in the catalog.

Flareon (#136) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Flareon 3/64 in Jungle (1999). That card is named Flareon, while this one is Flareon-GX. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 210 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and PLANETA Otani illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 35 other cards of Flareon list a different HP.

The attack Heat Stage lists 30 damage. The cost is Fire. You may attach up to 3 Fire Energy cards from your hand to your Pokémon in any way you like. Bright Flame is another attack lists 190 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Colorless. Discard 2 Fire Energy from this Pokémon. Power Burner-GX is another attack lists 20× damage. The cost is Fire. This attack does 20 damage for each Fire Energy card in your discard pile. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for SM Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the SM Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Flareon can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
