SM Black Star Promos is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 3 February 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. Shining Ho-Oh is a Basic Fire Pokémon with 130 HP. In the Pokédex this is Ho-Oh (#250), generation 2 (Johto).

Hitoshi Ariga illustrated this card. The same name is on 155 other cards in the catalog.

Ho-Oh (#250) has 37 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Ho-oh 52/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Ho-oh, while this one is Shining Ho-Oh. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Hitoshi Ariga illustrated this one. 32 other cards of Ho-Oh list a different HP.

Golden Wing is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon and is Knocked Out by damage from an opponent's attack, move up to 2 basic Energy cards from this Pokémon to your Benched Pokémon in any way you like. The attack Fire Blast lists 110 damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Discard an Energy from this Pokémon. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "A legend says that its body glows in seven colors. A rainbow is said to form behind it when it flies."

I keep a set binder for SM Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the SM Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ho-Oh can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
