Koraidon ex 125/198 · Scarlet & Violet

Koraidon is Pokédex #1007, generation 9 (Paldea). Koraidon ex is a Basic ex Fighting Pokémon with 230 HP.

Koraidon ex sits at 125/198 in Scarlet & Violet, position 125 of 258. Before it is 124 Koraidon, and after it is 126 Grimer. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on 31 March 2023. The printed size is 198. This checklist is longer, at 258 cards. The listed rarity is Double Rare.

Dino Cry is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, you may attach up to 2 Basic Fighting Energy cards from your discard pile to your Basic Fighting Pokémon in any way you like. If you use this Ability, your turn ends. The attack Wild Impact lists 220 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. During your next turn, this Pokémon can't attack. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The flavor text reads "This seems to be the Winged King mentioned in an old expedition journal. It was said to have split the land with its bare fists." The regulation mark is G.

Koraidon (#1007) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2023 to 2026. The earliest other card is Koraidon 14/102 in Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos (2023). That card is named Koraidon, while this one is Koraidon ex. That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 230 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Double Rare. Mina Nakai illustrated that card, and aky CG Works illustrated this one. 8 other cards of Koraidon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads aky CG Works. I count 163 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Scarlet & Violet set binder is where a full Scarlet & Violet set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Koraidon can fill a slot in Generation 9 binder (Paldea). Themed lists that include this exact card are Paradox Pokémon and Box-art legendaries. I still need this card.
