Meowscarada 15/198 · Scarlet & Violet

Meowscarada is Pokédex #908, generation 9 (Paldea). Meowscarada is a Stage 2 Grass Pokémon with 160 HP. The card says it evolves from Floragato. In this catalog that name is Floragato (#907).

Meowscarada sits at 15/198 in Scarlet & Violet, position 15 of 258. Before it is 14 Floragato, and after it is 16 Tarountula. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on 31 March 2023. The printed size is 198. This checklist is longer, at 258 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Trick Cape lists 40 damage. The cost is Colorless. You may put an Energy attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon into their hand. Flower Blast is another attack lists 130 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon uses the reflective fur lining its cape to camouflage the stem of its flower, creating the illusion that the flower is floating." The regulation mark is G.

Meowscarada (#908) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 3 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2023 to 2025. The earliest other card is Meowscarada ex 33/102 in Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos (2023). That card is named Meowscarada ex, while this one is Meowscarada. That card lists 310 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Ryota Murayama illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 6 other cards of Meowscarada list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Ryota Murayama. I count 55 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Scarlet & Violet set binder is where a full Scarlet & Violet set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Meowscarada can fill a slot in Generation 9 binder (Paldea). Themed lists that include this exact card are Paldea starters and Flower Pokémon. I still need this card.
