Team Rocket's Muk 124/182 · Destined Rivals

Destined Rivals is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on 30 May 2025. The printed size is 182. This checklist is longer, at 244 cards. Team Rocket's Muk is 124/182, in position 124 of 244 on this checklist. Before it is 123 Team Rocket's Grimer, and after it is 125 Team Rocket's Koffing. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Team Rocket's Muk is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 150 HP. In the Pokédex this is Muk (#089), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Team Rocket's Grimer. In this catalog that name is Grimer (#088).

Muk (#089) has 31 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2023. The earliest other card is Muk 13/62 in Fossil (1999). That card is named Muk, while this one is Team Rocket's Muk. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 150 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 4. 30 other cards of Muk list a different HP.

The attack Gooped Up lists 40 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Confused. During your opponent's next turn, that Pokémon can't retreat. Hazardous Venom is another attack lists 100× damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness, Colorless. This attack does 100 damage for each Special Condition affecting your opponent's Active Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The regulation mark is I.

I keep a set binder for Destined Rivals, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Destined Rivals set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Muk can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer's Pokémon and Team Rocket cards. I still need this card.
