Decidueye ex 15/197 · Obsidian Flames

Decidueye is Pokédex #724, generation 7 (Alola). Decidueye ex is a Stage 2 ex Grass Pokémon with 320 HP. The card says it evolves from Dartrix. In this catalog that name is Dartrix (#723).

Decidueye ex sits at 15/197 in Obsidian Flames, position 15 of 230. Before it is 14 Dartrix, and after it is 16 Bounsweet. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on 11 August 2023. The printed size is 197. This checklist is longer, at 230 cards. The listed rarity is Double Rare.

Total Freedom is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, you may use this Ability. If this Pokémon is on the Bench, switch it with your Active Pokémon. Or, if this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, switch it with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. The attack Hunting Arrow lists 130 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. This attack also does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is G.

Decidueye (#724) has 20 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 12 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Decidueye 11/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). That card is named Decidueye, while this one is Decidueye ex. That card lists 140 HP, and this one lists 320 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Double Rare. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and PLANETA Mochizuki illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 18 other cards of Decidueye list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads PLANETA Mochizuki. I count 131 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Obsidian Flames set binder is where a full Obsidian Flames set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Decidueye can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Alola starters. I still need this card.
