Alakazam ex 215/91 · Paldean Fates

Alakazam is Pokédex #065, generation 1 (Kanto). Alakazam ex is a Stage 2 ex Psychic Pokémon with 310 HP. The card says it evolves from Kadabra. In this catalog that name is Kadabra (#064).

Alakazam ex sits at 215/91 in Paldean Fates, position 215 of 245. Before it is 214 Espathra ex, and after it is 216 Mew ex. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on 26 January 2024. The printed size is 91. This checklist is longer, at 245 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 91. The listed rarity is Shiny Ultra Rare.

The attack Mind Jack lists 90+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 30 more damage for each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. Dimensional Hand is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic. This attack can be used even if this Pokémon is on the Bench. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is G.

Alakazam (#065) has 28 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Alakazam 1/102 in Base (1999). That card is named Alakazam, while this one is Alakazam ex. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 310 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Shiny Ultra Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and PLANETA Tsuji illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 1. 24 other cards of Alakazam list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads PLANETA Tsuji. I count 81 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Paldean Fates set binder is where a full Paldean Fates set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Alakazam can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
