Skeledirge 31/191 · Surging Sparks

Surging Sparks is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on 8 November 2024. The printed size is 191. This checklist is longer, at 252 cards. Skeledirge is 31/191, in position 31 of 252 on this checklist. Before it is 30 Crocalor, and after it is 32 Charcadet. The listed rarity is Rare.

Skeledirge is a Stage 2 Fire Pokémon with 180 HP. In the Pokédex this is Skeledirge (#911), generation 9 (Paldea). The card says it evolves from Crocalor. In this catalog that name is Crocalor (#910).

Skeledirge (#911) has 8 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 4 sets. The other dated printings are from 2023. The earliest other card is Skeledirge ex 34/102 in Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos (2023). That card is named Skeledirge ex, while this one is Skeledirge. That card lists 340 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. The regulation mark there is G, and here it is H. 7 other cards of Skeledirge list a different HP.

Unaware is listed as Ability. Prevent all effects of attacks used by your opponent's Pokémon done to this Pokémon. (Damage is not an effect.) The attack Torcherto lists 60+ damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless. This attack does 20 more damage for each Benched Pokémon (both yours and your opponent's). Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The regulation mark is H.

I keep a set binder for Surging Sparks, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Surging Sparks set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Skeledirge can fill a slot in Generation 9 binder (Paldea). Themed lists that include this exact card are Paldea starters and Halloween: Ghost Pokémon. I still need this card.
