Jolteon ex 30/131 · Prismatic Evolutions

Prismatic Evolutions is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on 17 January 2025. The printed size is 131. This checklist is longer, at 180 cards. Jolteon ex is 30/131, in position 30 of 180 on this checklist. Before it is 29 Jolteon, and after it is 31 Iron Hands ex. The listed rarity is Double Rare.

Jolteon ex is a Stage 1 Tera ex Lightning Pokémon with 260 HP. In the Pokédex this is Jolteon (#135), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

Jolteon (#135) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 29 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Jolteon 4/64 in Jungle (1999). That card is named Jolteon, while this one is Jolteon ex. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 260 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Double Rare. 37 other cards of Jolteon list a different HP.

The attack Flashing Spear lists 60+ damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless. You may discard up to 2 Basic Energy from your Benched Pokémon. This attack does 90 more damage for each card you discarded in this way. Dravite is another attack lists 280 damage. The cost is Fire, Water, Lightning. During your next turn, this Pokémon can't attack. Weakness is Fighting ×2. The card text says: As long as this Pokémon is on your Bench, prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks (both yours and your opponent's). The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is H.

I keep a set binder for Prismatic Evolutions, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Prismatic Evolutions set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Jolteon can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions and Tera Pokémon. I still need this card.
