Salamence ex 177/159 · Journey Together

Journey Together is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on 28 March 2025. The printed size is 159. This checklist is longer, at 190 cards. Salamence ex is 177/159, in position 177 of 190 on this checklist. Before it is 176 Hop's Zacian ex, and after it is 178 Dudunsparce ex. The collector number is above the printed set size of 159. The listed rarity is Ultra Rare.

Salamence ex is a Stage 2 ex Dragon Pokémon with 320 HP. In the Pokédex this is Salamence (#373), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Shelgon. In this catalog that name is Shelgon (#372).

Salamence (#373) has 30 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Salamence 10/97 in Dragon (2003). That card is named Salamence, while this one is Salamence ex. That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 320 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Ultra Rare. 26 other cards of Salamence list a different HP.

The attack Wide Blast lists no damage number. The cost is Fire, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 50 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Dragon Impact is another attack lists 300 damage. The cost is Fire, Water, Colorless, Colorless. Discard 2 Energy from this Pokémon. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is I.

I keep a set binder for Journey Together, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Journey Together set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Salamence can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Dragon-type cards and Pseudo-legendary lines. I still need this card.
