Hop's Sandaconda 87/159 · Journey Together

Journey Together is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on 28 March 2025. The printed size is 159. This checklist is longer, at 190 cards. Hop's Sandaconda is 87/159, in position 87 of 190 on this checklist. Before it is 86 Hop's Silicobra, and after it is 88 Toedscool. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Hop's Sandaconda is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 140 HP. In the Pokédex this is Sandaconda (#844), generation 8 (Galar). The card says it evolves from Hop's Silicobra. In this catalog that name is Silicobra (#843).

Sandaconda (#844) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 7 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2023. The earliest other card is Sandaconda 109/202 in Sword & Shield (2020). That card is named Sandaconda, while this one is Hop's Sandaconda. Both list 140 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Uncommon. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is I. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 9 other cards of Sandaconda list a different HP.

The attack Rumble lists 30 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless. During your opponent's next turn, the Defending Pokémon can't retreat. Break Ground is another attack lists 140 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. This attack also does 20 damage to each of your Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The regulation mark is I.

I keep a set binder for Journey Together, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Journey Together set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Sandaconda can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer's Pokémon and Hop and his Pokémon. I still need this card.
