The earliest other card is Melmetal-GX SM178/248 in SM Black Star Promos (2017). That card is named Melmetal-GX, while this one is Melmetal ex. That card lists 220 HP, and this one lists 300 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. PLANETA Otani illustrated that card, and PLANETA Igarashi illustrated this one. 18 other cards of Melmetal list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads PLANETA Igarashi. I count 41 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos set binder is where a full Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Melmetal can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mythical Pokémon, from Sword & Shield on. I still need this card.
