Hisuian Braviary 132/189 · Astral Radiance

Braviary is Pokédex #628, generation 5 (Unova). Hisuian Braviary is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Rufflet. In this catalog that name is Rufflet (#627).

Hisuian Braviary sits at 132/189 in Astral Radiance, position 132 of 216. Before it is 131 Rufflet, and after it is 133 Oranguru V. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 27 May 2022. The printed size is 189. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Psywave lists 30× damage. This attack does 30 damage for each Energy attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon. Slashing Strike is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. During your next turn, this Pokémon can't use Slashing Strike. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Screaming a bloodcurdling battle cry, this huge and ferocious bird Pokémon goes out on the hunt. It blasts lakes with shock waves, then scoops up any prey that float to the water's surface." The regulation mark is F.

Braviary (#628) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Braviary 88/98 in Emerging Powers (2011). That card is named Braviary, while this one is Hisuian Braviary. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Masakazu Fukuda illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. 8 other cards of Braviary list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shin Nagasawa. I count 303 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Astral Radiance set binder is where a full Astral Radiance set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Braviary can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Hisuian and Paldean forms. I still need this card.
