Kingdra TG03/30 · Astral Radiance Trainer Gallery

Astral Radiance Trainer Gallery is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 27 May 2022. The printed size is 30, and the checklist is the same length. Kingdra is TG03/30, in position 3 of 30 on this checklist. Before it is TG02 Flapple, and after it is TG04 Frosmoth. The listed rarity is Trainer Gallery Rare Holo.

Kingdra is a Stage 2 Water Pokémon with 150 HP. In the Pokédex this is Kingdra (#230), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Seadra. In this catalog that name is Seadra (#117).

Taira Akitsu illustrated this card. The same name is on 56 other cards in the catalog.

Kingdra (#230) has 28 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 21 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Kingdra 8/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 150 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Trainer Gallery Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Taira Akitsu illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 24 other cards of Kingdra list a different HP.

Deep Sea King is listed as Ability. When your Active Pokémon is Knocked Out by damage from an attack from your opponent's Pokémon, you may move any amount of Water Energy from that Pokémon to this Pokémon. The attack Aqua Burst lists 40× damage. The cost is Water. This attack does 40 damage for each Water Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It stores energy by sleeping at underwater depths at which no other life forms can survive." The regulation mark is E.

I keep a set binder for Astral Radiance Trainer Gallery, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Astral Radiance Trainer Gallery set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kingdra can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer Gallery. I still need this card.
