Kyurem VMAX 197/196 · Lost Origin

Kyurem is Pokédex #646, generation 5 (Unova). Kyurem VMAX is a VMAX Water Pokémon with 330 HP. The card says it evolves from Kyurem V. In this catalog that name is Kyurem (#646).

Kyurem VMAX sits at 197/196 in Lost Origin, position 197 of 217. Before it is 196 Volo, and after it is 198 Magnezone VSTAR. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 9 September 2022. The printed size is 196. This checklist is longer, at 217 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 196. The listed rarity is Rare Rainbow.

Glaciated World is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, you may discard the top card of your deck. If that card is a Water Energy card, attach it to 1 of your Pokémon. The attack Max Frost lists 120+ damage. The cost is Water, Water, Water. You may discard any amount of Water Energy from this Pokémon. This attack does 50 more damage for each card you discarded in this way. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: VMAX rule: When your Pokémon VMAX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards. The regulation mark is F.

Kyurem (#646) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Kyurem-EX BW37/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). That card is named Kyurem-EX, while this one is Kyurem VMAX. That card lists 180 HP, and this one lists 330 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Rainbow. Shizurow illustrated that card, and N-DESIGN Inc. illustrated this one. 48 other cards of Kyurem list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads N-DESIGN Inc.. I count 68 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Lost Origin set binder is where a full Lost Origin set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kyurem can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are VMAX cards. I still need this card.
