Krokorok 112/195 · Silver Tempest

Krokorok is Pokédex #552, generation 5 (Unova). Krokorok is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Sandile. In this catalog that name is Sandile (#551). The card lists Krookodile, Krookodile (#553) under evolves to.

Krokorok sits at 112/195 in Silver Tempest, position 112 of 215. Before it is 111 Sandile, and after it is 113 Krookodile. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 11 November 2022. The printed size is 195. This checklist is longer, at 215 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Crunch lists 60 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, discard an Energy from your opponent's Active Pokémon. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "Krokorok has specialized eyes that enable it to see in the dark. This ability lets Krokorok hunt in the dead of night without getting lost." The regulation mark is F.

Krokorok (#552) has 14 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Krokorok 64/114 in Black & White (2011). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Pani Kobayashi illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 10 other cards of Krokorok list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Pani Kobayashi. I count 39 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Silver Tempest set binder is where a full Silver Tempest set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Krokorok can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Night and moon Pokémon. I still need this card.
