Zarude 16/159 · Crown Zenith

Zarude is Pokédex #893, generation 8 (Galar). Zarude is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 120 HP.

Zarude sits at 16/159 in Crown Zenith, position 16 of 160. Before it is 15 Grubbin, and after it is 17 Calyrex. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 20 January 2023. The printed size is 159. This checklist is longer, at 160 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

The attack Drag Off lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Switch 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon with their Active Pokémon. This attack does 20 damage to the new Active Pokémon. Triple Whip is another attack lists 70× damage. The cost is Grass, Grass. Flip 3 coins. This attack does 70 damage for each heads. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Within dense forests, this Pokémon lives in a pack with others of its kind. It's incredibly aggressive, and the other Pokémon of the forest fear it." The regulation mark is F.

Zarude (#893) has 8 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 7 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2026. The earliest other card is Zarude V 22/185 in Vivid Voltage (2020). That card is named Zarude V, while this one is Zarude. That card lists 210 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo V, and here it is Rare Holo. PLANETA Igarashi illustrated that card, and Shiburingaru illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is F. 6 other cards of Zarude list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shiburingaru. I count 35 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Crown Zenith set binder is where a full Crown Zenith set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Zarude can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mythical Pokémon, from Sword & Shield on. I still need this card.
