Pincurchin 56/159 · Crown Zenith

Pincurchin is Pokédex #871, generation 8 (Galar). Pincurchin is a Basic Lightning Pokémon with 80 HP.

Pincurchin sits at 56/159 in Crown Zenith, position 56 of 160. Before it is 55 Zeraora VSTAR, and after it is 57 Exeggcute. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 20 January 2023. The printed size is 159. This checklist is longer, at 160 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Call for Family lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Search your deck for up to 2 Basic Pokémon and put them onto your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck. Continuous Tumble is another attack lists 30+ damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless. Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 30 more damage for each heads. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It feeds on seaweed, using its teeth to scrape it off rocks. Electric current flows from the tips of its spines." The regulation mark is F.

Pincurchin (#871) has 8 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 7 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2026. The earliest other card is Pincurchin 77/202 in Sword & Shield (2020). Both list 80 HP. The rarity there is Common, and here it is Uncommon. Akira Komayama illustrated that card, and Saya Tsuruta illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is F. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 3 other cards of Pincurchin list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Saya Tsuruta. I count 123 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Crown Zenith set binder is where a full Crown Zenith set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Pincurchin can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Saya Tsuruta cards. I still need this card.
