Kricketune GG02/70 · Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery

Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 20 January 2023. The printed size is 70, and the checklist is the same length. Kricketune is GG02/70, in position 2 of 70 on this checklist. Before it is GG01 Hisuian Voltorb, and after it is GG03 Magmortar. The listed rarity is Trainer Gallery Rare Holo.

Kricketune is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Kricketune (#402), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Kricketot. In this catalog that name is Kricketot (#401).

Nurikabe illustrated this card. The same name is on 16 other cards in the catalog.

Kricketune (#402) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2022. The earliest other card is Kricketune 27/123 in Mysterious Treasures (2007). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Trainer Gallery Rare Holo. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Nurikabe illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 6 other cards of Kricketune list a different HP.

Swelling Tune is listed as Ability. Your Grass Pokémon in play, except any Kricketune, get +40 HP. You can't apply more than 1 Swelling Tune Ability at a time. The attack Slash lists 50 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It signals its emotions with its melodies. Scientists are studying these melodic patterns." The regulation mark is F.

I keep a set binder for Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kricketune can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer Gallery. I still need this card.
