Gardevoir V 16/73 · Champion's Path

Gardevoir is Pokédex #282, generation 3 (Hoenn). Gardevoir V is a Basic V Psychic Pokémon with 210 HP.

Gardevoir V sits at 16/73 in Champion's Path, position 16 of 80. Before it is 15 Drednaw VMAX, and after it is 17 Gardevoir VMAX. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 25 September 2020. The printed size is 73. This checklist is longer, at 80 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo V.

The attack Magical Shot lists 30 damage. The cost is Psychic. Swelling Pulse is another attack lists 120+ damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Colorless. If this Pokémon was healed during this turn, this attack does 80 more damage. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is D.

Gardevoir (#282) has 55 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 32 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Gardevoir 7/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card is named Gardevoir, while this one is Gardevoir V. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 210 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo V. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 47 other cards of Gardevoir list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kagemaru Himeno. I count 656 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Champion's Path set binder is where a full Champion's Path set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Gardevoir can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir, and Gallade. I still need this card.
