Galarian Darmanitan SV024/122 · Shining Fates Shiny Vault

Darmanitan is Pokédex #555, generation 5 (Unova). Galarian Darmanitan is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 140 HP. The card says it evolves from Galarian Darumaka. In this catalog that name is Darumaka (#554).

Galarian Darmanitan sits at SV024/122 in Shining Fates Shiny Vault, position 24 of 122. Before it is SV023 Galarian Darumaka, and after it is SV025 Sobble. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 19 February 2021. The printed size is 122, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare Shiny.

The attack Blizzard lists 80 damage. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. This attack also does 10 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Crushing Headbutt is another attack lists 170 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless, Colorless. During your next turn, this Pokémon can't use Crushing Headbutt. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "On days when blizzards blow through, it comes down to where people live. It stashes food in the snowball on its head, taking it home for later." The regulation mark is D.

Darmanitan (#555) has 21 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Darmanitan 25/114 in Black & White (2011). That card is named Darmanitan, while this one is Galarian Darmanitan. That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Rare Shiny. Naoki Saito illustrated that card, and nagimiso illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 12 other cards of Darmanitan list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads nagimiso. I count 156 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Shining Fates Shiny Vault set binder is where a full Shining Fates Shiny Vault set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Darmanitan can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Galarian forms. I still need this card.
